TableEncore is a personal restaurant meal journal developed and published by Code Cowboys LLC, a Michigan-based software studio. Our privacy policy is short because the app is built so that we cannot see your data.
Everything you record in TableEncore — restaurants, visits, dishes, ratings, notes, photos — is stored only on your device. TableEncore has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network calls, with one exception you control: the optional Premium cloud backup, which uploads your journal to your own Google Drive or iCloud (see Optional Cloud Backup below). We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal data. We could not hand your data to anyone even if asked, because we never have it.

TableEncore asks for while-in-use location permission for exactly one purpose: matching your current position against restaurants you have saved, and suggesting a city name when you log a new place. Location lookups happen on your device. Your location is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and no location history is kept — only the coordinates of restaurants you choose to save, stored locally like everything else.
You can decline the permission and still use the app by picking restaurants manually.
When you log a new restaurant, the app may use your device's built-in geocoding service (provided by Android or iOS) to turn coordinates into a city name. This request is handled by your operating system under its own privacy terms; TableEncore sends nothing to Code Cowboys.
Premium subscribers can scan a menu or a receipt to prefill dishes. The text recognition that powers this ships inside the app and runs entirely on your device: the photo you take is processed locally, is never stored, and is never uploaded anywhere. The dishes and prices you choose to keep are saved in the same local database as everything else. Scanning works with no network connection at all.
All data you enter into TableEncore is stored locally on your device. This data:
If you use your device's built-in backup features (such as Google Backup or iCloud), your app data may be included in those backups according to your device settings and the policies of those services. We have no control over or access to those backups.
TableEncore does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. We do not use:
If TableEncore offers paid upgrades, payment is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive no payment details and no personal information from the transaction.
If you subscribe to Premium and turn on Backup & sync, TableEncore uploads a backup of your journal (including dish photos) to a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive (or iCloud on iOS, when available). This is the only situation in which TableEncore makes a network request, it happens only when you ask it to, and the backup travels directly from your device to your cloud account. Code Cowboys operates no servers, cannot read your backup, and never receives your data.
TableEncore's Drive access is limited to its own hidden app folder — it cannot see anything else in your Drive. Sign out at any time to stop; deleting the app's data from your cloud account is under your control, in your account.
TableEncore does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Because we do not collect or store any of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our end. Deleting the app deletes all of its data:
Back up your device — or use Premium Backup & sync — if you want to keep your journal; we have no copy to restore for you (that is the point).
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Any future feature that changes the "your data stays on your device" promise would be opt-in and clearly labeled — it will never change silently.
